Limitless Leadership

Welcome!

Please join us every other Tuesday at 11:30 am ET at this link.

  • Limitlessness

This group is designed to enhance your feeling of limitlessness. Hope. Possibility. Agency. And it’s not meant to feel overwhelming. We’ll be working with a model of relational/systemic leadership that sees everything as interconnected. Some approaches work on the surface with a series of trees in a forest, we’ll be working with the root system. This means that you’ll learn to identify access points for change through relationships and sense that they are working through your own experience.

  • Not participating

Systemic leadership is about working on the small, individual scale through our daily relationships. Sometimes people seek validation by asking you, either consciously or subconsciously, to match their emotions. This is a learned habit and it’s one that we are deeply attached to because it feels like care/love. We’ll be using examples from our own lives to develop strategies for not matching/not participating—and for directing others, when appropriate, away from matching.

  • Zooming out

Sometimes what is resolving in front of us is far bigger than the individual experience. Shifts show themselves to us on a small scale. The parts mirror the whole. As leaders, we can gain insight by observing what larger structures are shifting and affirming that transformation in the relationship before us. We’ll discuss through our own relationships and experiences how to encourage and support this kind of transformation, which includes healing from historical trauma.

  • Getting what we want

As a systemic leader, it can be easy to become unmoored and feel like we are helping others more than ourselves. It is also hard to know what we can change and what we have to accept as out of our control. We will explore through our own experience what it is to enjoy our lives while we are actively amplifying love that transforms.

Session 3

Power, space between reaction and response, radical self-focus

Question summary:

  • In what ways does expertise turn into exerting authority (false power) by declaring what is right or wrong, who belongs and who does not?

  • How might different groups mirror the ones they dislike by asserting a right/wrong narrative? Or defining themselves either by their dedication to the "mission" or their assertion of expertise?

  • How might we trust interconnectedness so much that we observe that every individual act of our own balancing contributes to the whole?

  • What opens up when we see that one person is simply not ready for the change we suggest? How might we create access points that allow us to change what we want?
